Spic-and-span World launches try server with changes to PVP, trading posts, and untested enemies
Amazon Games' New World seems to have settled into its groove after a successful launch and, the odd bot and server exit aside, is looking like it'll be a serious competition among the bigger MMOs for days to total. Now that the early stages have passed swimmingly, the developer has declared the Fres World Public Test Realm.
Fairly common among MMOs, a PTR is basically a placed of early access servers that allow developers to gather feedback and test other overgorge before it's added to the game suitable. "Betwixt our internal testing efforts and your feedback we Bob Hope to catch and resolve all serious issues ahead they reach the live servers," reads the announcement. "Hundreds of changes have been ready-made and the full release notes will be shared on expel day."
The PTR will allow players to in real time level to certain ranges, and provide appropriate power train, and anyone who already owns the game on Steamer will possess access to it. The Revolutionary World In the public eye Test Realm application should appear in everyone's Steam library by the final stage of today, and the PTR servers ingenuous today at noon PT (7PM UTC).
"When the trial period is stand-alone and the primary New Ma gamy is updated with the previewed content, totally worlds will close down and be wiped clean. You will still look the New World PTR application in your Steam library, but there wish not move servers until the next time we announce a test."
OK so: what's information technology examination? The developer is seeking feedback on a a couple of new additions particularly, including the newfangled Void Gauntlet arm (a DPS/supporting hybrid arm with "an arsenal of buffs and debuffs"), the new foe faction Varangian Raiders, a bunch of new under beasties ("Wizened Swarmancer, Beetle, the Mislaid Shaman, Pirate Alligator, Ancient Guardian Pyromancer, and enhanced Corrupted Laborers!") and a new Legendary Weapon Quest series.
Main storyline quests have also been tweaked with "freshly chore types and quest variants, including wave events, destructible objects, and proximity nodes for tracking."
There are also three recent PVP Faction Mission types: Control Points, where you go capture forts; Wiretap, where you rally enemies and, information technology says here, "collect their tears"; State of war Camp plunder, where you have to nick plans from an enemy camp. On top of this the 'poach' missions induce been remote (this credibly refers to several of the SB assemblage PVP missions that had little to do with PVP), and "almost all" PVP missions now rest on death rather than being forfeited.
Finally it's big word for the economists. "All Trading Posts have been joined and are straightaway unified! You can buy and deal out the same results from any Trading Post in the world. Fees for Buy and Sell Orders are defined away the Settlement that you're posting from. Additionally, Dealings Taxes on purchases you pass wate are definite by the Settlement in which you are making the purchase. Items listed in Deal Orders that choke return to the Closure from which they were posted."
Amazon Games doesn't put a timeframe connected when PTR features will find their way into the game, but emphasises that everything on in that respect is basically advised complete and "in their ultimate form of testing and bug holdfast". The latest update for Occident was last workweek, targeting gold Sellers in particular,
